GREEN CAR EVENTS

For years, Green Car Journal has been hosting high-profile events that bring ‘green’ cars to media and consumers alike. At many of these events – like those in our Green Car Tour series –the goal is to encourage time behind the wheel, providing a more thorough understanding of what these vehicles are like and how they can fit into today’s diverse lifestyles.

Green Car Tour stages have been held at varying locations, often with a focus specific to a particular venue. At Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago, the Green Car Tour presented ‘green’ ride-and-drive vehicles to media, accompanied by tours of the National Lab highlighting its work on advanced vehicle technologies. The ‘Eureka Drive’ Green Car Tour with Audi showcased a 1,000 mile drive the length of California in vehicles running on synthetic fuel. At the New York International Auto Show, we facilitated rides in electric cars for more than 10,000 attendees, conveniently hosting this high-profile activity on a track right on the show floor.

At the Sierra Club National Convention, the Green Car Tour highlighted the latest gasoline-electric hybrid and hydrogen fuel models from automakers, enabling attendees to experience these advanced vehicles on the streets of San Francisco. Similar Green Car Tour activities have been held at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Society of Environmental Journalists conferences in Miami and Austin, the Art Center College of Design Sustainable Mobility Summit in Pasadena, the Greenbuild conference in San Francisco, and the Dwell on Design show in Los Angeles.

Many other Green Car events have been presented in conjunction with shows and conferences. Among these are the Automobiles and the Environment Conferences at the L.A. Auto Show, the Green Car Summit on Capitol Hill, the Green Car Pavilion at the Washington Auto Show, and an advanced vehicle panel discussion at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

In addition, Green Car Journal’s high-profile Green Car Awards™ program has honored the best-of-the-best new car models at auto shows for nearly 15 years, presenting at the LA Auto Show, Washington Auto Show in DC, and the San Antonio Auto & Truck Show.

Would a ‘green’ car focus enhance your conference or show? Green Car Journal is actively expanding its Green Car Awards™, Green Car Tours, and other green car-related activities. Connect with us to explore if we can be of assistance.
